New Years Eve Torchlight Parade

This years torchlight parade was one for the memory books!
Our Winter Sports School instructors and Ski Patrol crews formed a line at the bottom of the Green Chairlift at 7p.m on New Years Eve, made their way up the lift and proceeded to make 2 full runs down Smokey and Valley.

Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays from everyone here at Nub's to all of you!

Gearing up for the Holidays!

The holiday season at Nub's is fast approaching and conditions couldn't be better!
We've been receiving large amounts of natural snow over the past weeks and it looks like it's not going to stop any time soon :)

4th Annual Manna Jam
The Manna Jam is one of our most  unique yearly events.  Held the Saturday after Thanksgiving, the Manna Jam was created as a way to get kids on SHRED a little bit early, and of course, to give back to the community!  Each year hundreds of people flock to Nub's to take part in this event, donating cash, non perishable food items and to have a great time !
For a full review of this years event, head to this link!
The Manna Jam is often impacted by early season weather, one year its 50 degrees, the next it's raining, the next it's 20 degrees with no natural snow fall.
This season we found ourselves smack dab in the middle of the best early season conditions Nub's has EVER experienced.  With an abundance of natural and man made snow, G.M Jim Bartlett made the decision to hold the event at the base of one of our iconic runs, Scarface; stating "we'll probably never get this chance again!".

Our Park Crew set out the day before the event, working well in to the night to craft one of the best early season rail jam set ups that Michigan has ever seen.

The morning of the event our lodge was flooded with young shredders, eager to to get on hill and spend the day riding with friends!

The 4th Annual Rail Jam to Benefit The Manna Food Project was a huge success!  We want to thank everyone involved for making this community event such a fun one to host!

We'll see you all next year :)
